Our Exercise To Music programme features OVER 60 different
classes every single week. We offer sessions for beginners
right
through to the experienced exerciser and for all age groups.
Just look at the range of classes we have
Aerobics Foundation:
A cardiovascular workout that maximises fat burning by combining
hi and low impact moves and combinations. A great place
to start, with easy to follow routines and lots of explanation.
Most classes
will include toning exercises at the end of the class.
Aerobics Intermediate:
A more complex choreographed Hi Energy workout aimed at increasing
your fitness level. Not for the faint hearted! Most classes
include toning exercises at the end of the class.
Bodypump:
Bodypump is a 45 to 60 minute non-impact, resistance
training programme that utilises barbells and adjustable
weights.
It is a studio-based group session which is led by
highly skilled,
motivating instructors who receive on-going training
to ensure every class is safe, effective and fun. It
is essential that you attend at least one Bodypump Clinic
prior to participation.
Bodypump Clinic:
This short introduction will teach you the correct technique
for a Bodypump class. Everyone should attend a clinic
before taking part in a full class.
Boxercise:
A fast moving aerobic class incorporating boxing techniques.
Working in pairs using boxing gloves and pads. This
class helps develop strength, speed and flexibility as
well as training the
cardiovascular system.
Junior Boxercise (11 years+):
Class is paired down a bit with more of an emphasis
on fun!
Bums ‘N’ Tums:
A toning blast for the lower body focusing mainly
on bums, tums and abdominals. Most classes
incorporate upper body
exercises
and will usually use resistance equipment such
as hand
weights and resistance bands to promote muscular
strengthening.
Cardiokick:
A cardiovascular aerobic workout combining
powerhouse moves and stances developed from
a range of self-defence
disciplines
including
Karate, Kick-Boxing, Tai-Chi and Taekwando.
All this mixed together and you've got an adrenaline
pumping routine.
Circuits:
This class is made up of a variety of exercise
stations designed to work the whole body.
You move around
each station at your
own level, each station lasts for 30-60 seconds.
This workout combines cardiovascular fitness
with muscular
strength
and endurance training. Guaranteed to get
you fit!
Freestyle Fitness Yoga:
Freestyle Fitness Yoga focuses on deep stretch,
yoga postures and stability exercises.
The ideal class
to supplement
your other fitness classes or a hectic lifestyle.
Step N Firm Foundation:
A hi/low impact cardiovascular workout, which
involves stepping on and off a platform
combined with body
conditioning exercises
to achieve a whole body workout.
A great place to start for the beginner.
Prime Time Aerobics:
A gentle, easy pace, light hearted aerobics
class for those over a “certain
age”. Join the fight against osteoporosis, stiff
joints and muscles. Please inform the instructor if you
have never exercised
before or if you have
any joint
or health problems.
Prime Time Step:
A gentle, easy pace, light hearted low-level step class
for those over a “certain
age”.
Come along enjoy the music, stay active and have
fun. Please inform the instructor before the class
if you
have never
stepped before
or if you
have any joint
or health problems.
Line Dancing Foundation/Intermediate:
Join Sylvia on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and
stomp, shuffle and tap your way to fitness. Have
fun and meet
new friends.
Please note that Thursday’s session has foundation only
dances from1.30-2.00pm, from 2.00pm to 3.30pm the dances become
more intermediate.
You can either take
part in the whole class or you can do just part
of the class. The price is the same whether you stay for half
an hour or for the
whole two hours.
Prime Time Aerobics:
Never tried aerobics? This is the class for you,
a 45minute gentle workout. No or very little
jumping. Designed to
introduce you
and your muscles
to the idea
of exercise. Toning exercises sometimes included.
This is also a great class for just “keeping active” in
a nice social environment.
Pilates Matwork:
Pilates strengthens the whole body, particularly
abdominals and back. It will help to improve
posture, alignment
and flexibility. Come
along and
have a challenging
workout, relax and de-stress from every day
life.
Spinning –
Spinning is an indoor group cycling class,
which gives you a great cardiovascular
workout and is
an excellent
way to
tone your thighs
and bottom.
Spin ‘N’ Tone:
Twenty-five minutes of spinning followed
by twenty minutes of toning exercise
to tone up
all those
wobbly bits.
Sports Circuit:
This class uses mini hurdles, ladders,
inflatable discs, reaction balls, the
viper belt and
more. Each piece
of equipment is
used to develop
some aspect of
speed, agility and quickness. Helps
to improve your cardiovascular fitness,
muscular strength
and endurance
and hand-eye
co-ordination.
Step ‘N’ Firm:
A cardiovascular hi/lo step and floor
work class for those who enjoy stepping
but
also want to work
on the
parts that
need extra
firming-
bottoms, stomachs,
thighs and arms.
Stability Ball:
A body conditioning class with a difference,
the difference being that exercises
are performed on
or around a ball.
This class
will improve
your body’s
most vital source of strength – your
core! Learn the latest techniques
on balancing, stabilising,
stretching and strengthening
exercises. This class
is a lot of fun!
Teen Training:
A four-week supervised course for
13-15 year olds run in Fitness
Connection gym.
Participants will learn the correct
use of cardiovascular equipment
and resistance
weights.
They will also
learn how to keep fit,
stay healthy
and the basic
concepts of fitness programming.
Tone
Zone:
A 45 minute conditioning class using
hand weights and tubing giving
you a total body workout.
All of our staff are expertly
trained on an ongoing basis so
that you
get the most
up to
date, high
quality instruction
available.
Taking Part:
Again no membership is required
you simply turn up and work
out although
booking
may be necessary
for
busier
classes.
